How to play
Get started
- Choose a mission and draft distinct classes: three units for the tutorial, four for other maps. Reorder their deployment slots or use the recommended squad, then Deploy. Eliminate the rust army while keeping an ivory survivor.
- Click a bright ivory piece: a double ring and arrow mark your selection. Click an outlined hex to move, or click the same piece to stay. Faded pieces with a bar have already acted; they become ready at the next pulse.
- After moving, finish that piece’s activation: click an adjacent enemy to strike, use its class ability, or Hold. Other ivory pieces fade while they wait. Hover marked targets to preview the result before committing.
- Sides alternate activations. Each unit acts once per pulse. After all units act, old cracks fall and nearby stable tiles crack. Pass keeps units ready; two passes end the pulse.
- Wardens actively restore adjacent cracks instead of striking; Sappers demolish solid stone and crack target ground on hits. Bulwarks resist pushes; Skirmishers cross consecutive holes; Lancers gain charge damage. Last Sanctuary’s center survives one extra cracked pulse end.
- Keyboard: focus the board, Tab to cycle units, arrows or Q/W/E/A/S/D to choose hexes, Enter to move, strike or use an ability; 1 cycles destinations or ability targets after movement, 2 cycles enemies, 3 holds. Space holds/passes, Shift forecasts collapse, Escape cancels or leaves board focus.
